Productive weekend!

This weekend me and Lotta spent hand dyeing floss. After colouring we wrapped them up in plastic. Then we had to wait for at least 24 hours.

What to do with all that time??? Well, we started thinking that hand dyed floss really deserved handmade bobbins. So out came the scrapbook papers...

Then we realized that all that prettiness needed a pretty box to be stored in so we went shopping...

Then came the rinsing...

It took it's own sweet time but finally we hung them all to dry :) And we waited...

So, we gave our chairs new jeans-covers. Something I've wanted to do for a long time and I LOVE the way they turned out.

And then, finally we got to put all those beautiful hand dyed floss in our pretty, pretty boxes.

Oh, and we couldn't leave the highchair. It looked awful with it's dark brown wood and yellow plastic seat from the 70's (you can see see the chair on this old picture of Nataniel, forgot to take a beforeshot).

So, I bought some white paint sew together some old jeans and now it looks like this:

I love it!!

After Lotta went home I couldn't help myself so now I'm sewing jeans together to cover the sofa in the kitchen to match all the other chairs ;)

Singing

"Kiss i sängen och ha det bra,
ligga lite och fundera.
Varm om stjärten som en sommardag,
jag tror jag kissar lite mera."

Sewing, sewing, sewing

Earlier this week my friend Lotta came to visit and we spent two whole days in my sewing room sewing. When she went home I had finished two new bags and I love the way they turned out!

I also started making a new quilt from a jelly roll.

We also had time to bake and made these delicious macrons with creamy chocolate in between.

The day after Lotta went home these was in my mailbox and I immediately started cutting fabrics for the Angel project tote.

Also I made these for one of the projects in the magazine.

And before I knew it, this patchwork case was made :) The pattern is Lynette Anderson's and it was so easy to make and looks adorable. I'm certainly making more of these!

Now I'm off to the cuttingmat! More projects in progress ;)
